Description
Astrophytum myriostigma Cv. Kikko Spotted “Hercules” Japan Strain is a highly refined Japanese cultivar admired for its massive geometric tubercles, exaggerated structure, and dense spotted trichome coverage.
In myriostigma cultivars, “Kikko” refers to the development of raised, segmented tubercles along the ribs, creating a sculptural surface resembling carved armor or layered stone. In the “Hercules” expression, these protrusions become especially massive and dramatic, giving the plant a powerful architectural presence.
The Japan strain is particularly respected for its sharp and stabilized tubercle formation, where the geometry remains consistent as the plant matures.
