Astrophytum Asterias Cv. Starshape Superkabuto is a collector cultivar admired for its pronounced rib geometry that creates a striking star-like silhouette when viewed from above.
The Starshape expression refers to the way the ribs become more angular and defined, forming a sharp star pattern rather than the softer rounded profile seen in many standard Asterias plants. Each rib appears slightly raised and sculpted, giving the plant a bold and architectural presence.
Combined with the Superkabuto trichome pattern, the plant develops dense white flecking that spreads across the ribs in beautiful clusters. These trichomes contrast strongly against the deep green body, emphasizing the star-like structure of the plant.
