Astrophytum asterias Cv. Ooibo Rensei Nudum is a highly expressive cultivar that combines enlarged areoles (Ooibo) with a connected areole structure (Rensei) on a clean nudum body.
The Ooibo trait refers to the development of large, prominent areoles, appearing soft, raised, and visually dominant across the plant. These enlarged areoles create strong focal points along each rib.
The Rensei expression is defined by connected areoles, forming a linked, chain-like pattern along the ribs. Instead of isolated spacing, the areoles flow into one another, creating a continuous and rhythmic structure that gives the plant a sense of movement.
