Astrophytum Myriostigma Cv. Tricostatum Nudum is a striking cultivar combining two distinctive characteristics: the rare three-rib (tricostatum) structure and the smooth nudum epidermis.
The term Tricostatum refers to the plant developing three prominent ribs instead of the typical four or five ribs commonly seen in standard Myriostigma. This rib reduction creates a bold triangular symmetry that gives the plant a sculptural and architectural appearance.
The Nudum expression further enhances this structure by reducing or eliminating the typical white trichome scales found on Myriostigma. Without the speckled coating, the plant reveals its clean matte green skin, allowing the rib geometry and natural form to stand out clearly.
