Astrophytum asterias Cv. Kikko Nudum “Durian” is a highly expressive cultivar prized for its extreme Kikko form. In this cultivar, the rib segments are strongly protruded and exaggerated, producing a bold, armored surface. The plant resembles a durian fruit, with deeply divided, outward-pushing segments that give it a powerful, sculptural presence.
In the Nudum expression, the absence of white flecking places full emphasis on rib structure, depth, and body form. At this size, the Durian character is fully readable and stable, with exaggerated segmentation that refines rather than radically changes.
