Astrophytum asterias Cv. Kikko Nudum “Durian” is a striking cultivar known for its distinctive Kikko expression. In this cultivar, the rib segments are strongly protruded and exaggerated, creating a rugged, armored surface. The form resembles a durian fruit, with bold, sharply defined segments that push outward rather than remaining flat.
In the Nudum expression, the absence of white flecking allows the raw structure and geometry of the ribs to take center stage. Even at this early size, the Durian character is already emerging and will continue to intensify as the plant matures.
